The Medical University of Silesia in Katowice establishes scientific, research and teaching cooperation with many foreign scientific units. Under agreements and cooperation contracts, various activities are undertaken, culminating in the implementation of numerous scientific and research projects, as well as the exchange of experience and knowledge.
Number of agreements in force - 38, including:
- partners from European countries: 27 (Ukraine, Czech Republic, Latvia, Italy, Georgia, Switzerland, Macedonia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belarus, Sweden, Slovakia, Turkey)
- partners from other countries: 11 (United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Uzbekistan, Colombia, Japan, Iran).
Subject matter scope of agreements:
- research work in the field of medical/pharmaceutical/health sciences,
- contribution to accelerating the development of cooperating universities,
- exchange of students,
- staff training,
- exchange of information on teaching programs,
- supporting and organizing exchanges of research and teaching staff,
- efforts made to prepare new scientific programs, publish achievements and implement them,
- joint organization of scientific conferences, presentation of experiences and achievements in various fields of medicine,
- joint application for funding of research projects in the framework of announced national and international competitions,
- publication of scientific and research achievements developed by the parties.
Within the framework of international cooperation, there is also the possibility of participation in the programs of the National Agency for Academic Exchange, which works to internationalize Polish science by supporting and stimulating international research cooperation and academic exchange - https://nawa.gov.pl/
