The Medical University of Silesia in Katowice is the implementer of a project dedicated to primary school students (aged 9-13) entitled University of the First Age (UPW) in the field of "Body without secrets". The main goal of the UPW activity is to familiarize students with the following topics:
- anatomical and physiological basis of the functioning of the human body,
- shaping proper eating habits,
- shaping proper movement habits during learning and playing,
- rules of conduct in situations of life or health threat,
- diagnostic and research methods useful in assessing the human body.
The classes are also aimed at deepening interest in medical sciences and shaping attitudes aimed at seeking and discovering own path to success. Coping with stress is also discussed during the course.
