The recognition proceeding of foreign diploma conducted at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice consists in three stages:
Electronic registration on the SENSUM platform (submission);
Formal evaluation of the complete submission will be conducted within 30 days from the date of launching a full submission; Due to causes independent from the University, the formal evaluation of the submission may be extended.
Submission of the Application form for the foreign diploma recognition;
After accepting the submission, the Candidate should print the Application form and sign it in all the designated areas as well as provide them with the documents that constitute attachments to the Application form in the form of copies (photocopies) while originals should be presented for review. The application must be submitted personally or by means of the Proxy holding the correct notarial power of attorney in the designated timeframe at the Department of Didactics.
Recognition proceeding.
At this stage, the Committee conducts a comparison of the curriculums of studies, obtained learning outcomes and achieved professional entitlements, realized professional practices and the duration of similar studies conducted at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice.
After conduct of the comparison the Committee may:
recognize the diploma as equivalent (without exam and/or practices),
refuse to recognize the diploma as equivalent (without exam and/or practices),
order an exam and/or practices.
Conditions for passing the exam and/or practices are designated for each Applicant individually depending on the programme differences.
The term and place of conduct of the exam is communicated to the Applicant electronically (to the email address specified by the Applicant) or via post. Failure to attend the exam is equivalent to obtaining a negative grade.
The date of initiating the recognition proceeding is the date of delivery of the application to the University. The University recognizes or rejects recognition of a foreign diploma as an equivalent to the Polish diploma and professional title within 90 days from the date of submission of the Application that meets formal requirements. The above-specified term does not include periods designated for submission of translations of documents or attending exams or completing practices.
The level of the fee for the recognition proceeding of the diploma of graduation from foreign studies at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice amounts to PLN 4,825. The fee is designated regardless of the result of the recognition proceeding. The fee for the recognition proceeding must be made to the bank account of the University within 14 days from the date of submission of the application form.

Lack of submission of the fee in the designated timeframe shall result in leaving the application unattended.
