Annales Academiae Medicae Silesiensis (AAMS) is a peer-reviewed Polish-English journal of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. The scope of interest covers all disciplines in the field of medical and health sciences. The journal publishes original research papers (experimental and clinical), review articles, case reports, brief reports, reviews of medical congresses and conferences and editorial comments
The journal has been published continuously since 1978, providing a forum for the presentation of scientific achievements not only of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, but also of other Polish and foreign research centres. Since 2021, it has been published in the Open Access model, and the articles are available under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. The editors follow the principles of publishing ethics in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and make every effort to ensure that the content published on AAMS is reliable and accurate
Authors do not incur any costs associated with the publication, and access to the articles for all readers is free and does not require logging in
