The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice implements the "Tutor in SUM" project, which consists in supporting the best high school students through the possibility of receiving individual assistance from an academic teacher – a tutor - in planning and conducting scientific research. During the meetings, scientific goals and methods of achieving them are defined, and the task of the tutor is to accompany the student in the process of conducting scientific research, while highlighting his or her strengths and individual potential.
Participation in the program strengthens the student's autonomy, teaches them to take responsibility for their own learning and its results, and develops interests. The "Tutor at SUM" program enables support for scientific research conducted by students of secondary schools each year.
The participation in the project is free of charge.
