In the academic year 2002/2003 the new programme was launched, next to pharmacy and medical analytics, ie. cosmetology – Ist and Iind degree studies. A year later the programme - biotechnology was introduced (later transformed into double degree studies – Medical biotechnology).
Nowadays candidates can choose between the following programmes of study:
- Pharmacy (intramural studies, extramural studies, studies taught in English)
- Medical analytics (intramural studies)
- Medical biotechnology I st degree (intramural studies, studies taught in English)
- Medical biotechnology II nd degree (intramural studies, studies taught in English)
- Cosmetology I st degree (intramural studies, extramural studies)
- Cosmetology II nd degree (intramural studies, extramural studies)
Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec conducts postgraduate education:
- Postgraduate supplementary studies for Qualified Persons employed in pharmaceutical industry
- Herbal commodity science with elements of herbal medicine
In 1996 at the Faculty the Specialised Education Study was set up (now Postgraduate Education Study), which conducts the following specialised training:
- Retail Pharmacy,
- Laboratory medical diagnostics,
- Laboratory medical hematology,
- Laboratory medical transfusiology,
- Laboratory medical genetics,
- Medical microbiology.
In October 2012 at the Faculty, the Third Age University started operating. It was a winner of the plebiscite organised by the Society of Social Initiative along with Department of Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations of the City Hall in Sosnowiec, receiving the “Senior friendly place” certificate.
Units of the Faculty have been organising the educational project titled: „High School Student University”. Participation in the classes and passing the final exam, arranged as a nationwide competition, allows its participants to obtain extra points taken into account during the admission process to the Faculty.
Moreover, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec organises undergraduate biology and chemistry preparatory courses and also summer holiday activities for high school students - „Holiday on the FARm”.
