The Foundation for Polish Science has announced the upcoming call for proposals under the Proof of Concept (PoC) action, financed under the European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021-2027 Programme.
The call will be open from 03.08.2023 to 07.09.2023.
The Proof of Concept (PoC) activity is aimed at supporting scientists in verifying the market potential of their discoveries, and is addressed at researchers at every stage of their scientific career (including those who have not yet obtained a scientific degree).
Who can apply for the funding:
The eligible Applicants are research organizations. The Applicant should indicate the Leader of the project - the author of the proposal and the author or co-author of the research results that form the basis for the project. During the implementation of the project, the Leader should be employed of the Applicant’s organization for a minimum of 0.5 FTE.
What can you obtain the funding for:
The funding can be obtained for research and development actions, aimed at the verification of the research hypothesis set out in the application. The research should result in a progress on the path leading to the commercialization of the project. Within the research scope, it is possible to launch a successful cooperation with an enterprise, however, the financial support is granted only to the research organization.
The thematic scope of projects eligible for the funding is not limited to specific fields of science, but refers to the priorities included in the list of National Smart Specializations (KIS).
The funding does not cover basic research projects.
The budget:
Each project can be granted the funding of the maximum amount of PLN 700,000. The funds are granted for the maximum of 12 months, and are awarded through a competition procedure.
