Recruitment for the Polish-French Marie Sklodowska-Curie and Pierre Curie Science Prize

The call for applications for the Polish-French Marie Sklodowska-Curie and Pierre Curie Science Prize, which aims to recognize outstanding scientific achievements that are the fruit of Polish-French cooperation, is underway.

The Polish-French Marie Sklodowska-Curie and Pierre Curie Scientific Prize is a joint initiative of the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) and the French Academy of Sciences (Académie des sciences). The award is jointly funded by the Foundation for Polish Science and the Zygmunt Zaleski Foundation.

The award aims to highlight the benefits of Polish-French scientific cooperation. It is awarded to two collaborating scientists from Poland and France in recognition of their joint research achievements, which have contributed to enhancing scientific cooperation between the two countries.

The prize is awarded on the basis of nominations. All active representatives of the Polish and French scientific community with a doctoral degree are eligible to nominate candidates. Autonominations will also be considered.

The nomination must indicate two scientists of any nationality, with a doctoral degree, one working in Poland and one in France.

The application should include:

  • A description of the joint scientific achievements of the two candidates in the framework of Polish-French scientific cooperation, together with plans for further research cooperation (maximum 6000 characters).
  • A list of up to 10 publications related to the joint scientific achievement indicated in the nomination.
  • Professional CVs of both candidates.
  • One letter of recommendation for the nominated pair; in the case of self-nomination - two letters of recommendation are required.

Nominations should be submitted in English in electronic form via an online database at: https://wnioski.fnp.org.pl.
