The Ranking List of projects recommended for funding by the Agency for Medical Research has been announced. Among the 27 recommended for funding were two projects submitted by researchers at the Silesian Medical University in Katowice.
Recommendation of funding in the amount of PLN 4,743,263.80 was given to the project on the implementation of a medical experiment entitled "Stimulation of the His bundle or left bundle branch as electrotherapy to prevent left ventricular dysfunction in patients requiring cardiac pacing after percutaneous aortic valve replacement" Project Manager Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Gołba Department of Electrocardiology-Clinic of Electrocardiology and Heart Failure
Recommendation of funding in the amount of PLN 8,563,265.70 held the project on the implementation of a non-commercial clinical trial "Stroke prevention with apixaban in patients with stage 5 chronic kidney disease and atrial fibrillation (SACK) Project Manager Prof. Dr. Andrzej Więcek - Department of Nephrology, Transplantation and Internal Medicine.
