The first trip for foreign students studying at ŚUM organized by the Welcome Centre office staff, took place on May 31, 2025.

Students took an underground mining walk in Guido Mine in Zabrze. The trip began with a descent in a special elevator (in Silesia called “shola”) 320m underground. During the walk, students learned about the history of mining technology development from the end of the 19th century to the present day. They also had the opportunity to see mining machines and ride an electric suspended railway.
