Prof. Rafał Młynarski, M.D., Ph. o zdr. Rafał Młynarski is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice; he received his medical degree and diploma in 2002. He completed his doctoral studies at the Medical University of Silesia. He completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, where he received his doctoral degree in 2007 on the basis of his thesis entitled "Assessment of treatment with implantable cardiac pacemakers in patients with sinus node dysfunction and atrioventricular conduction disturbances", whose supervisor was Professor Włodzimierz Kargul, MD. In addition, he completed postgraduate studies in the field of Health Care Facilities Management in 2017 and Law in Health Care in 2019. He received the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences in the discipline of medicine, specialisation in cardiology, by the resolution of the Council of the Faculty of Medicine in Katowice in 2015 on the basis of a positive review of scientific achievements, including a single-theme series of papers entitled. "Usefulness of multi-row computed tomography in imaging of the cardiac venous system". He honed his skills and expanded his knowledge during a number of internships and workshops held at, among others: University Hospital of Zürich (Switzerland 2012); Tolochenaz (workshop "Yes we scan", Switzerland 2015); Uniw. Medyczny Wrocław (Poland 2018); University of Presov - Faculty of Health Care (Slovakia 2020).

In his scientific and research work, Prof. Młynarski is mainly involved in two broad topics, these are intravital imaging of the cardiac venous system and the impact of frailty syndrome on various aspects of the lives of patients treated with permanent electrotherapy. In his work on imaging of the cardiac venous system, Professor Młynarski uses computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and echocardiography. Professor Młynarski has co-initiated studies on the impact of frailty syndrome on the lives of patients treated or qualified for permanent electrotherapy. Mr Młynarski's other research interests focus on issues such as the sexual lives of patients with cardiac arrhythmias, methods of decision support in cardiology based on artificial intelligence or the impact of hospital accreditation on patients.

Professor Młynarski has not only co-authored numerous congress presentations (more than 160 by 2020), but has also presented papers at sessions and conferences including many times in the United States, Asia and all major European congresses. He is a reviewer for publications in numerous international and national journals. Professor Młynarski's scientific output includes more than 265 national and international publications (including more than 60 articles and more than 180 conference abstracts) with a total MEiN of 3209 and an IF of 137.916 [as of 23 V 2023]. As part of her teaching work at the SUM, she teaches, among others, classes for students of electroradiology, nursing or midwifery. He has guest lectures as part of the University of the Third Age. Professor Młynarski is the supervisor of two doctoral dissertations ending in the awarding of a doctoral degree and the supervisor of numerous bachelor's and master's theses. Member of numerous national and international scientific societies. Honoured with a badge of "Merit - Polish Medical Association". Winner of ten team awards of the Rector of SUM in Katowice. 

His non-professional interests include computer graphics and image processing. His great passions include travelling - he has visited Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia.
