Another edition of the "Summer School" has just come to an end. This is a project that was created on the initiative of three Universities - Silesian Medical University in Katowice, Technische Universität München and Université de Nice - Sophia Antipolis. This year, as part of international cooperation, students from Germany and France flew to Poland. During their several-day visit, our guests took part in interesting activities and saw how much our region has to offer. This year's edition of the project was also attended by medical students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Ktowice and Zabrze.
This year's Summer School was held under the theme "Innovative medical technologies as the solution to global health challenges." A lecture by Dr. Tomasz Jadczyk, M.D., titled "The first edition of the Summer School was particularly well received. "Artificial intelligence." Besides participating in interesting discussions, lectures and exercises, the students, donning VR goggles, also moved into a virtual operating room.
An attraction for the participants of the Summer School was a trip to Zabrze's Guido mine. Our guests also visited the historic Nikiszowiec and Ustroń, where they managed to climb Czantoria Mountain. Foreign students were most surprised by the fact that Poland is so green! :)
Although the time of the School has come to an end, its participants will be left with many beautiful memories. Next year, as part of the project, students from the Silesian Medical University in Katowice and Technische Universität München will visit Nice.
