On November 8, 2024 in prof. Szaflarski Lecture Hall in Katowice-Ligota campus the authorities and Dean’s Office employees of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice accompanied by representatives of Faculty Student Government Council and Student Government Association (SGA) greeted foreign medical students commencing their education at the Medical University of Silesia in current academic year.
Welcome Meeting was attended by Professor Tomasz Francuz, MD, PhD – Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice, Professor Aneta Gawlik-Starzyk, MD, PhD – Vice-Dean for English language program, as well as Dean’s Office staff members who provide administrative support for English language medical students.
Freshman foreign students were also welcomed in the academic society by representatives of the University student organizations: Julia Plewniok – Chair of Faculty Student Government Council and Adin Asi, Mooman Muhammad, Mario Sonbol, Mohed Muhammad, Simin Arbabi – representatives of Student Government Association (SGA).
