Together against violence

Today, 24 November 2023, a meeting will be held under the theme: TOGETHER AGAINST VIOLENCE, expressing solidarity and support for the world's largest White Ribbon Campaign to stop violence against women. Violence against women and domestic violence remains the world's most widespread human rights violation. There are still many myths and stereotypes that justify violence against women. There are still many women who are afraid to take any action against violence.  And violence is fed by silence.

"Amnesty International" estimates that every year, more women aged 15-44 die worldwide as a result of violence than from cancer, malaria or die as a result of traffic accidents. It is only through collective action that we can eradicate this evil.

During the meeting, invited guests will share the results of their research and professional experiences of violence. There will also be an opportunity for an exchange of views and discussion. The meeting will take place in the Prof. W. Zahorski University Auditorium in Katowice-Ligota and will have a hybrid character.
