The Ministry of Health has awarded scholarships to the most talented medical students for academic achievements in the 2022/2023 academic year

Among the 47 honorees were four students from the Medical University of Silesia's Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice. They are:

  • Jagoda Hofman - WNMK
  • Monika Romanczyk - WNMK
  • Michal Hutny - WNMK
  • Stanislaw Surma - WNMK

We appreciate young people today, their academic performance, their commitment. You go beyond the standard of education. This is also thanks to your professors, thanks to whom you are expanding your horizons. I hope that the scholarships will be a further motivation for you to work," stressed Health Minister Adam Niedzielski, who, together with MZ Undersecretary of State Piotr Bromber, honored the awardees.

The ceremony was attended by the rectors of medical public universities. - I am proud of the scholarship recipients of the Silesian Medical University. I wish them the realization of their professional dreams, further development, and undoubtedly the scholarship awarded by the Minister of Health is an extremely important recognition of scientific achievements. I have no doubt that this is an opportunity that you will take full advantage of," said Prof. Katarzyna Mizia-Stec, Vice-Chancellor for Science and International Cooperation of the SUM, who, together with Minister Niedzielski, had the pleasure of presenting the awards to our students.

The scholarship recipients received PLN 17,000 each
