Once again, the Silesian Science Award will be presented as part of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE. Therefore, we encourage you to nominate yourself or others who make a special and noticeable contribution to the development and promotion of Silesian science in the national and international arena. The award may be given for a lifetime achievement or for achievements obtained in the two years preceding the year of the award. The call for applications runs until August 31. Applications are accepted via a form (available in Polish and English).
The Silesian Science Prize is awarded by the universities co-organizing the KATOWICE Silesian Science Festival. Persons nominated for the award are selected from among those working at universities or studying at doctoral schools according to each university's own schedule and internal procedure. Award recipients are selected by the Award Chapter, which includes representatives of each university. Its work is headed by Prof. Dr. Katarzyna Mizia-Stec, Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation of the Medical University of Silesia. The awardees will be announced during the 7th Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE.
The scientific achievements of the applicant from the University should be indicated within the scientific areas of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE:
- technical sciences;
- natural sciences;
- arts;
- humanities and social sciences;
- sciences;
- medicine and health sciences
