On April 4, 2023, in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec SUM, the 4th All-Academic Seminar "Physicochemical Methods in Scientific Research", organized by the staff of the Department of Physical Pharmacy, took place. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Rector of SUM, Prof. Tomasz Szczepanski, MD.

Physicochemical methods are a key element in scientific research. They are an indispensable tool for obtaining valuable data and their analysis, through insightful discussion, leads to the necessary knowledge regarding the proper functioning of living organisms. Therefore, the aim of the event was to popularize science by presenting interesting scientific research conducted using various physicochemical methods in the fields of pharmacy, biology, medicine and related sciences. As in previous years, the Seminar was dedicated to academics, young scientists, doctoral students, master's students, members of scientific circles and all science enthusiasts. During the Seminar, participants were able to listen to interesting lectures by invited guests and exchange experiences and knowledge about physicochemical methods currently used in science by presenting the results of their research in the form of poster and/or oral presentations.

We are particularly proud of the fact that the 4th All-Academic Seminar has also found recognition from the Ministry of Education and Science, which is reflected in the "Excellent Science - Subsidized Scientific Conferences" grant from the state budget. The coverage of the IV SO in the form of a feature will be available on TVS television.

The composition of the Scientific Committee:
  • Dr. hab. n. pharm. Małgorzata Maciążek-Jurczyk, Prof. SUM (Chairperson, Head of the Chair and Department of Physical Pharmacy of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice)
