Take part in the competition to make an illustration for the identification of the 7th Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE

The competition to create illustrations that will become the main theme of the visual identity of the seventh edition of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE is open only until June 16. The contest is aimed at students and graduates of universities organizing the SIF. The winner or laureate will receive a financial award of PLN 2,000 and a contract to create a set of illustrations for the identity of ŚFN with a fee of PLN 6,000.

The contest task is to design one main illustration and any three illustrations for the zones of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE (technology, science, medicine and health, humanities and social sciences, art, nature). The competition work must meet the following requirements:

  • reference by symbolism and aesthetics to the city of Katowice as the European City of Science 2024 (Katowice - City of Science);
  • possibility to be placed on a square format;
  • no black background;
  • use of the Doctor Primo character;
  • use of colors consistent with the brandbook of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE.

Contest participants are asked to fill out an application form. Contest entries should also be sent to promocjasfn@us.edu.pl. The evaluation of the contest tasks, the selection of the winner and the correctness of the course of the contest are supervised by the Contest Jury appointed by the General Director of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE, Rector of the University of Silesia Prof. Ryszard Koziołek. The competition is open to persons of full legal age who have the status of a student or graduate of a university that is a leader or co-organizer of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE, and who do not run a business.


Winners of the contest will be announced no later than July 17.
