I would like to inform you about the ongoing recruitment for the XIX Edition of the National Competition , "Open Doors", for the best master's and doctoral theses, the topic of which is disability in the following dimensions: social, professional or health
The purpose of the competition is to increase the interest of the scientific community in the issue of disability, to popularize knowledge in the field of activities undertaken for the benefit of the community of people with disabilities, and to propose solutions to increase social and professional activity of people with disabilities.
The Competition is open to: graduates of master's or doctoral studies, as well as those who have defended their doctoral thesis in another mode;
The Competition is open to: master's theses with a very good grade, and doctoral dissertations dealing with issues related to people with disabilities defended within 24 months prior to the date of submission of the work for the Competition;
Works may be submitted to the Competition by: the author after obtaining a written recommendation from the supervisor, which should be attached to the submission, the dean of the faculty, the director of the institute, the supervisor or the reviewer of the master's or doctoral thesis;
It is recommended that the works submitted to the Competition meet the accessibility requirements specified in the Law of April 4, 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities) - this requirement is recommended but not mandatory.
Submission of work to the competition is not a guarantee of receiving an award.
The submitted work must address the topic of disability in at least one of the following categories:
- social and vocational rehabilitation,
- technological and architectural solutions serving people with disabilities,
- accessibility for people with special needs,
- medical rehabilitation.
The deadline for submitting entries is September 20, 2023, and entries with attachments should be sent electronically (pdf and docx versions) to konkurs@pfron.org.pl.
