We are pleased to invite students, doctoral students and employees of the University to participate in the Spin Business Accelerator programme, organised by the University of Silesia in cooperation with the SPIN-US Sp. z o.o. special purpose vehicle. Recruitment to the programme lasts until 25 October 2024.
Spin Business Accelerator is a 6-week programme in which teams selected in an open call seek solutions to challenges in the areas of environment, urban space, public health, mobility and sustainability of university campuses, among others. The programme is aimed at universities belonging to the Academic Consortium of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
Benefits of participating in the programme:
- experience of working in an inter-university environment on an innovative solution in the area of sustainable urban development
- opportunity to win financial prizes (1st prize: PLN 5000, 2nd prize: PLN 3000, 3rd prize: PLN 1000)
- a budget for prototyping and testing the solution (up to PLN 2,000)
- support from experts in various fields
- development of skills to design innovative solutions using Design Thinking methodology
Schedule:
Recruitment: until 25 October 2024.
Evaluation of applications: 28 October - 1 November 2024.
Accelerator programme: 2 November - 13 December 2024.
DEMO DAY: 16 or 17 December 2024.
