Professor Krzysztof Nowosielski was awarded the title of professor of medical and health sciences in medical sciences by the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland.
Prof. Nowosielski is a graduate of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice. In 2013 he obtained the title of specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology, in 2017 he became a specialist in gynaecological oncology and in 2019 he completed his specialisation in sexology. From 2015 to 2018, he was the Head of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department of the Silesian Institute of Mother and Newborn in Chorzów, and from 2018 to 2020, he was the Head of the Gynaecology and Gynaecology Oncology Department of the County Hospital in Czeladź.
Since January 2021, he has been Head of the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the University Clinical Centre in Katowice, Professor at SUM.
He is involved in gynaecological oncology with a special focus on cytoreductive surgery in ovarian cancer and laparoscopic and robotic techniques in endometrial cancer and cervical cancer. He coordinates research in the field of gynaecological oncology and human sexuality, with particular emphasis on oncosexology (sexual health promotion in patients during and after treatment for cancer of the reproductive organs).
He is the author of the Polish validation of one of the most widely used scales in sexology - the Index of Female Sexual Function and Body Image in Sexual Activity, as well as the Sexual Arousal and Inhibition Scale for women and men. He has co-authored chapters in the book 'Beauty and Sex, Sex and Beauty',' Chemsex', 'Gynaecology Oncology' and 'Ovarian Cancer'. She is also the co-creator of the sex education app for young people - sexed4you(th).
Privately, he is an amateur traveller, a lover of cinema and a gourmet of world cuisine.
