We are proud to announce that Piotr Czempik, M.D., Ph. o zdr. Piotr Czempik from the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice, ŚUM, has graduated from the prestigious training program Polish Clinical Scholars Research Training organized by Harvard Medical School.
The program in which Piotr Czempik, MD, participated is one of the most intensive and demanding in the world. It included workshops conducted by world-class experts publishing in top medical journals, work on original research projects and networking with researchers from Poland and the US. The program culminated with a ceremonial diplomacy in the Harvard Medical School auditorium in Boston - a city that has special significance foranesthesiology, as it was there in 1846 that the first anesthesia was performed at the Massachusetts General Hospital the first general anesthesia using ether was performed.
Ph.D., professor of medicine and health sciences Piotr Czempik is on a daily basis associated not only with the Silesian Medical University, but also with the Prof. K. Gibinski University Clinical Center in Katowice, where he serves as deputy physician in charge of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care and Chairman of the Transfusion Committee.
