"Neurosilesia" conference coming in November

On November 24-25, 2023, another fourth edition of the conference "Neurosilesia" - neurology and pediatric neurology in Silesia will be held.

The current edition will be held as a standing-room-only version, and participation in the conference is free of charge. For the first time, the conference will present an expert debate on the problems of qualifying adult stroke treatment in specific clinical situations.  Among the distinguished guests invited to the discussion - experts in the field of stroke, we will have the honor and pleasure of hosting the National Consultant in Neurology, Professor Agnieszka Slowik.

Issues related to modern therapy for multiple sclerosis, personalized therapy and the long-term effectiveness and safety of modern therapies for the disease will be the topic of the next session.

Epilepsy in children and adults, the use of new antiepileptic drugs and the new classification of epilepsy in the youngest children are the issues presented in the next session.

Improving the brightness of life in patients with chronic diseases of the central nervous system, new possibilities for supporting therapy in post-stroke patients are the scope of knowledge and experience presented during the next session- Neuromix.

- The world's most expensive therapies, new phenotypes of patients diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy, and the experience of treating patients with a diagnosis of SMA made by common newborn screening are topics that could not be missing from our program, says Professor Ilona Kopyta, a neurologist at the Upper Silesian Children's Health Center SUM.
