We would like to inform you that the National Science Center invites you to the Days of the National Science Center, which will be held in Wroclaw.
The ninth edition of the Days of the National Science Center will be held in Wroclaw on May 10-11. The event will be hosted by Wroclaw University of Technology.
On the first day there will be an opening meeting with the participation of representatives of the region's scientific community and the management and Council of the NCN. In addition to the occasional speeches, participants will have the opportunity to listen to speeches by the winners of NCN competitions on the research they conducted thanks to the grants they received.
The program will also include an open meeting between members of the Council and the region's scientific community, allowing interaction between all participants. The discussion will focus on the assumptions of the NCN grant system, the principles governing the competition and appeal procedures, and recent changes to the regulations, in the context of the current economic and geopolitical situation in Europe
On May 11, a workshop will be held on the application evaluation process at the National Science Center. Their participants will take on the role of experts evaluating applications for funding research projects. The material for the work of the so-called "mock-panel" will be authentic applications, the authors of which have agreed to use them for training purposes. Divided into three groups (HS, ST and NZ), the workshop aims not only to simulate the process of evaluating applications at NCN, but also to impart knowledge about the Center's competition procedures and rules.
The day's program also includes a briefing on issues related to open research data in NCN policy and practice.
