Josh Lawson is a professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada. He has focused on epidemiology and biostatistics throughout his training. His main areas of interest are pediatric asthma and respiratory epidemiology, but he is also interested in various aspects of child health, lung health and rural health. Much of his research program focuses on the urban-rural gradient and the causes of geographic variation in childhood asthma. His research is conducted at the Canadian Centre for Health and Safety in Agriculture (CCHSA), also at the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. His educational background includes Simon Fraser University in Vancouver (bachelor's degree), the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon (master's degree) and the University of Alberta in Edmonton (PhD).
