Justyna Paprocka, MD, professor at SUM, has been named chairwoman of the newly established Neurometabolic Section of the Polish Society of Child Neurologists.
Justyna Paprocka, MD, professor at the Silesian Medical University, is head of the Department of Child Neurology at the SUM in Katowice.
Medical specialties held: pediatrician, child neurology, metabolic pediatrics, additionally licensed in EEG and certified in epileptology. Faculty coordinator of the Erasmus + Program for the Faculty of Medicine in Katowice.
Prof. Paprocka's main areas of interest include: childhood epilepsy, neurometabolic diseases, rare diseases, diseases of the extrapyramidal system. Co-author of more than 100 publications in the field of pediatric neurology, she has received multiple rector's awards.
Justyna Paprocka, MD, PhD, is President of the Silesian Branch of the Polish Society of Child Neurologists, a long-time scientific, organizational and lecturer of nationwide specialization courses in child neurology and pediatrics, co-author of the future specialization program in child neurology, member of the Scientific Committee of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN), provincial consultant in child neurology for the Opole Province.
