Join us for the “Language & Care” workshop

On behalf of the entire international team, we kindly invite you to participate in the Knowledg3xchange project implemented jointly by the Silesian Medical University in Katowice, FH Joanneum (Graz, Austria) and FOM Hochschule (Essen, Germany), with the support of the SPZOZ Clinical Psychiatric Hospital in Rybnik. The event is aimed especially at students, doctoral students and researchers interested in issues of patient care, especially long-term care. The workshop will be held on November 26, 2024 at the SPZOZ Clinical Psychiatric Hospital in Rybnik, at 33 Gliwicka St. Participation is free of charge.

Due to the limited number of places, please apply for participation by October 20 (applies to students) and October 25 (applies to doctoral students, academics) at e-mail: promaniuk@sum.edu.pl 

The organizers reserve the right to apply additional selection criteria to ensure a diversity of participant profiles. In the title of the email, please add the note (Knowledg3xchange workshop).

The main goal of the project is to exchange knowledge between health care professionals, representatives of the educational and scientific communities to improve the standards of patient care and create recommendations for care that takes into account people from minority groups.  In this regard, we invite you to participate in the workshop “Language and Patient Care” (“Language & Care”) devoted to the issues of challenges in patient care when there are communication barriers. 

The workshop will be held on 26.11.2024r. from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at the SPZOZ Clinical Psychiatric Hospital in Rybnik, at 33 Gliwicka St. The workshop will be based on the World Café formula providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and insights on key program issues. 

The workshop will be conducted in Polish. Participation is free of charge, refreshments and lunch will be provided during the meeting. Participants will receive certificates confirming their participation in the workshop.
