On December 2, 2023, the Inauguration Ceremony of the High School Student University of the Faculty of Health Sciences for High School Students took place at the Didactic Center. Within the walls of the SUM, we welcomed 25 high school students who want to associate their future with the Silesian Medical University in Katowice.
The high school students were welcomed by Prof. Jerzy Stojko, MD - Vice Chancellor for Students and Student Affairs, Anna Brzęk, MD - Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Katowice, Paweł Niemiec, MD - Prodean of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Katowice, Prof. SUM - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Katowice, Ewelina Grabska-Klein, MD - Coordinator of the High School Student University of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Katowice, and Wirginia Likus, MD, Prof. SUM, - Coordinator of the Faculty Promotion Team.
After the solemn oath ceremony and the handing over of the indexes, an inaugural lecture on the history of medicine entitled. " From the Shaman-Sorcerer...". , which was conducted by Dr. Halina Kulik, Prof. SUM, Head of the Department of Nursing Propedeutics.
Mr. Marcin Drzazga, MSc, from the Department of Pedagogy at the WNOZK, worked on "integrating the group" by conducting an integration workshop.
We congratulate the students of the WNoZK SUM High School University and wish them long SUM friendships and the development of their passions at Our University!
