The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec at the Silesian Medical University has prepared inspiring practical classes for high school students as part of the “High School Student at the University” project, implemented thanks to funding from the Upper Silesian-Zagłębów Metropolitan Area under the “Metropolitan Science Support Fund” Program. The classes are designed to introduce young people to the fascinating world of science, the latest discoveries and modern research methods.

During the workshops conducted by experienced research and teaching staff, students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of issues, such as the function of enzymes, the structure of the excretory system, the structure of DNA and the basics of genetic engineering. Classes are held in specialized laboratories equipped with modern equipment, allowing participants to gain practical knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing modern pharmacy, analytics and biotechnology. It is also an excellent opportunity to see what it is like to study at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec.

Applications for the class are accepted by email to: jwawszczyk@sum.edu.pl. Enrollment can only be made by the group supervisor (teacher). Groups should have a maximum of 15 people. The workshop will be held in the buildings of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at 8 Jedności Street in Sosnowiec.
