The European Space Agency, together with Brokers in Poland, has launched a call for applications under the ESA Technology Transfer Competition. The competition is for ideas on transferring technology from the space sector to earthly needs. This is a good time to take up the ESA challenge for those who are looking for new ideas and want to use technology to improve processes or develop a new solution. This year's competition has a prize pool of 160,000 PLN. The application form must be submitted by November 16.
Those interested in participating in the competition are asked to contact the SUM Technology Transfer Center. Its staff will be happy to help you with consulting and commercialization of research results.
The ESA TT Competition is addressed to small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, students, PhD students and individuals operating outside the space sector. Within its framework, you should present an idea for commercial use, in sectors other than space, of a patent or software belonging to the European Space Agency, or describe the application of a solution concerning technology indicated by representatives of the Polish space sector.
Awards
For non-space companies there will be;
- 2 prizes x EUR 10,000 for the best technology transfer proposals in non-space companies.
- 2 x EUR 5,000 for the best technology transfer proposals presented by Teams (future companies, spin-offs, spin-in).
For companies in the space sector
- Up to EUR 5,000
