During the recent Congress of the European Renal Association (ERA) in Milan, Prof. Marcin Adamczak, MD, PhD, from the Department of Nephrology, Transplantology and Internal Medicine (Faculty of Medical Sciences, Katowice SUM ) was awarded the title of European Renal Association Distinguished Fellow.
This distinction is awarded annually to several nephrologists from different European countries, and the candidate for this title must have a sufficiently large, internationally recognised scientific output in nephrology and be active in the activities of the European Renal Association. Mr Adamczak is currently a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of ERA, has been a lecturer at ERA congresses on several occasions and is a member of the Scientific Committee of the ERA Congress in 2024 ), as well as of the national nephrology society (he is also currently Vice President of the Polish Society of Nephrology).
