On Monday, July 10, 2023, English-speaking graduates of the medical faculty of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice-Ligota met for the last time in the auditorium named after Prof. Dr. Witold Zahorski in Katowice-Ligota to solemnly end an important stage of their lives and receive their diplomas. There was no shortage of memories and tears of emotion. In this solemn event, the graduates were accompanied not only by members of the academic community, but also by their relatives and family members, who flew to Katowice from various parts of the world, including Canada, India, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Thirty-five graduates received their diplomas. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Rector's and Dean's authorities: Prof. Katarzyna Mizia-Stec, MD, PhD - Vice Rector for Science and International Cooperation; Prof. Tomasz Francuz, MD, PhD. o zdr. Tomasz Francuz - Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice; and Prof. dr. hab. n. med. Grzegorz Helbig - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice. A few words on behalf of the academic staff were addressed to the graduates by Dr. Joanna Kowalik, MD. Ms. Wiktoria Nowak - representative of the Faculty Council of Student Government of the WNMK - also spoke, as well as representatives of the graduates: Sara Rachel Shajee, Anna Rachel Shajee, Danielle Blank, and Joy Adedoye, Miami Habainy.
