Another important event is behind us - this time 74 graduates of first- and second-level studies, as well as of uniform master's studies, in nursing, midwifery and physiotherapy, left the walls of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice. The diploma ceremony was held on Friday, November 24, in the Prof. Witold Zahorski Auditorium in Katowice-Ligota, 18 Medyków Street.
- Graduation is a very important stage in the life of every young adult. He is as important as the day you chose your field of study and university. Thanks are due to your parents, grandparents, who shaped such wonderful people – said Anna Brzęk, PhD, Professor of SUM, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Katowice, during the ceremony.
The event was also attended by, among others, Prof. Jerzy Stojko, Vice-Chancellor for Studies and Students at SUM, Urszula Sioma-Markowska, MD, Prof. SUM, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Paweł Niemiec, MD, Prof. SUM, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Tomasz Dybek, MD, President of the National Chamber of Physiotherapists.
As every year, the best graduates of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice were awarded during the diplomatatorium.
The award for the best academic results obtained during the studies was won by:

- lic. Magdalena Chojeba - midwifery
- mgr Magdalena Młynek - midwifery
- mgr Jakub Losa - physiotherapy
The award for the best sports achievements and contribution to the Academic Sports Association of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice was given to:
- Anna Mituta, MA
- Weronika Sobczyk, MA
- Julia Dwornik, MA
- Hubert Kozioł, MA
