The 1st National Scientific and Training Conference "Clean Treatment" was a huge success. The event, which took place on April 17-19 in Wisła, was aimed at improving the knowledge of medical personnel in the field of infection prevention. Employees of the St. John Paul II Upper Silesian Children's Health Center in Katowice made a special contribution to the conference organized by the European Association for Clean Treatment. It was their experience, knowledge and competence that raised the profile of the event, for which the hospital management and staff were personally thanked by Dr. Ireneusz Ryszkiel, Chancellor of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice.
Congratulations and thanks were given to:
- Marian Kreis, director of the St. John Paul II GCZD in Katowice for his commitment and support of the GCZD staff in organizing the conference;
- Mirosława Malara, epidemiology specialist and head of the Hospital Hygiene Department at the GCZD; president of the European Clean Treatment Association for organizing an exceptional event and addressing an important topic;
- Aleksandra Antosz, M.D., and Karolina Skrzynska, M.D., for their excellent presentation of the lecture "From influenza to cholera - current challenges in infectious diseases in daily practice";
- Maria Szymich-Lukosek, M.D., deputy director for economic and administrative affairs at GCZD, for her excellent speech within the inaugural lecture "Challenges in health care in 2023 - plans, intentions and... results."
The conference program, extremely rich and extensive in its subject matter, attracted, above all, a huge group of nurses and doctors, who participated in large numbers in the lecture sessions, engaging in discussion with the speakers. There was also great interest in the workshop sessions, the convention of which promoted the activity of the participants.
We congratulate the organizers and lecturers on their professionalism, wishing them continued success in raising the profile of the hospital in all aspects of the institution's activities.
