The two-day conference and 13th edition of the International HealthTech Innovation Conference at the European Center for Innovative Health Technologies in Zabrze is behind us.
Each year, the conference brings together from 200 to 250 participants and provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase the latest scientific and research advances in biomedical engineering.
The conference included panels on topics such as medical image analysis, biomedical signal processing, computer-aided medical therapy, and virtual reality in biomedicine. The entire program of the event can be found here.
The conference was attended by representatives of the scientific, business and local government communities. Also present were the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, Professor Marek Gzik, PhD, and the Rector of the Silesian Medical University, Professor Tomasz Szczepański, MD. The Silesian Medical University in Katowice took patronage of the event.
“It was an extremely inspiring time, during which we were able to broaden our knowledge of new technologies in health care, as well as lean into the current needs of the health care system,” said Rector of the Silesian Medical University, Prof. Tomasz Szczepanski, MD, who emphasized how extremely important the cooperation between the Silesian University of Technology and the Silesian Medical University is.
