Students of the Complex of Food Schools from Zabrze participated in educational and development workshops held at the Department of Dietetics of the Faculty of Public Health in Bytom.
The classes were conducted by employees of the Department of Dietetics and the Department of Health Promotion as part of the project "Appetite for Healthy Eating", which received funding from the Ministry of Education and Science.
Activities undertaken as part of the project include: education of adolescents on healthy eating on the example of selected cuisines of the world, assessment of the nutritional status of adolescents, assessment of the quality of food products using sensory methods, assessment of the ability to recognize odors, assessment of eating habits of adolescents.
The measures taken are expected to help form appropriate eating habits of adolescents and contribute to the promotion of a pro-healthy lifestyle in terms of rational nutrition, in addition, the analysis and evaluation of the data obtained will allow the presentation of risks in the context of the possibility of diet-related diseases in the studied population group.
