Do you want to test your science communication skills? Or do you simply want to share your dissertation topic with a wider audience? Apply to take part in the Silesian edition of the Three Minute Thesis® competition.
The Three Minute Thesis® is a competition in the field of scientific communication, aimed at doctoral students from universities and branches of the Polish Academy of Sciences from the Silesian Voivodeship and those completing their doctoral theses at the M. Skłodowska-Curie National Institute of Oncology in Gliwice.
The participants' task is to give a 3-minute presentation on the activities carried out as part of their doctoral thesis and its significance for society. The scientific issues must be presented in such a way as to be understandable and accessible to a wide and diverse audience.
Stages of the Silesian edition of the Three Minute Thesis® competition:
REGISTRATION: until 31 October 2024.
ELIMINATIONS: 16 November 2024, 10 a.m.
FINAL: 29 November 2024, 18:00
The event is a unique opportunity to test your competence in knowledge dissemination and self-presentation, share interesting scientific ideas with others, and win attractive prizes.

The event is organised by the Centre for the Popularisation of Science of the Silesian University of Technology and the Academic Council of the Doctoral Student Self-Government of the Silesian University of Technology. The event is implemented in the City-Region-Academy band within the framework of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 celebrations. It is co-financed by the Silesian Voivodeship - the co-organiser of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
