"Time Machine"

Our "time machine" takes you on a journey to where it all began - to the magical Rokitnica in Zabrze with its unique architecture and exceptional atmosphere. Watching it, you can, among other things, get to know the first students and lecturers, trace the creation of successive faculties and take a look at the six SUM teaching hospitals. It's also the story of where we already are as a University, where we want to get to and what our goal is. The album also includes black-and-white and color photos from the SUM archives, which perfectly capture how our University has changed over time. A separate chapter is devoted to new technologies, that is, our own UniverSUM of possibilities. It is the Silesian Medical University in Katowice that is at the forefront of universities using virtual teaching and medical simulation.
