On the occasion of SUM's 75th anniversary and the Inauguration of the New Academic Year 2022/2023, we were honored with our presence by the rectoral authorities of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences and Samarkand State Medical University, consisting of:
- Khurelbaatar Nyamdavaa - President of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences
- Sodnomjamts Erdene-Ochir - Director of Finance of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences
- Yasur Rizaev - Rector of Samarkand State University of Medical Sciences
- Gayratjon Elmurodov - Pro-rector for financial and economic affairs of Samarkand State Medical University
In addition to participating in the Inauguration ceremony, the delegations visited, among others, the Upper Silesian Medical Center in Katowice, the Medical Simulation Center in Katowice and the Silesian Center for Heart Diseases in Zabrze, familiarizing themselves with the structure of the activities of the above entities, as well as the solutions used.
There was also a regional element, as representatives of the delegation also had the opportunity to learn about the culture of the Silesian region through a visit to the Guido Mine, the Freedom and Solidarity Center or a walk through Nikiszowice.
The arrival of the delegation from Central and Southeast Asia provided an excellent opportunity to exchange scientific ideas, deepen mutual relations, especially in the context of further cooperation and exchange of academic staff. At the same time, the willingness of delegations from distant countries to come is not only a sign that our University is open to international cooperation, but also a confirmation of the importance of the University in the international arena.
The smooth conduct of the visit was supervised by Prof. Dr. Katarzyna Mizia-Stec - Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, together with the team.
