Mission of the University

The Silesian Medical University, as one of the oldest universities in the region, established in 1948, takes as its mission the modern education of students in the medical profession, combining it with education in the spirit of respect for scientific freedom, humanism and ethics, for the national good and benefit.

The Silesian Medical University actively participates in the development of science through the development and dissemination of modern diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, the promotion of innovative solutions in medicine, and the creation of patient-friendly health care conditions.
